Just off the Strand STK is the luxe location for a killer sirloin and some cocktails. A glamorous restaurant inside the famed ME hotel offering a top quality menu complete with Raw food section and high-quality USDA cuts of meat.
At STK it’s all about the details, nothing is out of place, the staff are a team of connoisseurs and the settings are an Instagrammer's dream. Taking simple classics such as steak and chips and converting them into a spectacular experience is the norm here.
A buzzing space filled with comfortable circular booths and a pearl embellished chandelier, it doesn’t get much more glamorous than this. Seafood and raw dishes are on the starts and appetisers menu. I opted for a tuna ceviche and wasn’t disappointed. Charcoal crisp and a zingy citrusy dressing made for a very moreish dish that boosted my appetite for the medium USDA sirloin steak I was advised to have medium rare so the bearnaise sauce melts perfectly. Accompanied by a stack of Parmesan and truffle fries roasted to crispy golden perfection. Cutting into the steak revealed a soft velvety texture and the first bite was full of flavour. For those slightly less into red meat, STK proves itself to be as diverse as it is stylish with their fish dishes, in particular, the buttery and gorgeously seasoned Monkfish which definitely stole the show.
We got totally lost in the chocolate pistachio dessert which was as decadent as it was photogenic. Topped off with an STK branded chocolate disc. All in all, STK is a prime central London location delivering class and Style without pretentiousness.
