The Fashion as Art trend has developed out of the demand for more interesting and artistic visuals. The digital age has given the majority of modern consumers two ailments; A shortened attention span and a desensitization towards visuals. The huge leap in communication and image overload has meant that Fashion imagery has to evolve and become more than physical clothing and models.
Modern Fashion imagery must now engage, speak to and challenge the viewer. As a result of this new and developing demand, the Fashion As Art Trend sees artistic disciplines being integrated into campaigns, collections and designs by some of Fashion’s most significant and influential design talents.
